Abstract:

Four closely related topics centered on the copper and silver clusters stabilized by dichalcogenolate ligands will be presented in this talk. Shown below is the outline:

  1. I. The structure chemistry of copper hydirdes.

  2. II. Copper hydrides as electrocatalysts in CO2 reduction to HCOOH at low overpotentials.

  3. III. 2-electron (8-electron) superatom-type copper (silver) nanoclusters.

  4. IV. 2-electron (8-electron) superatomic alloys synthesized by templated galvanic replacement.
