Abstract:

Photodissociation spectroscopy became one of the standard tools in determination of the structure of the ions in the gas phase. We have developed an approach to measure IR and UV-vis spectra of mass-selected ions at variable temperatures [1-3]. I will discuss the application of our approach for the investigation of metal-oxo and metal-nitrido complexes [4,5]. Among others, I will show the first detection of copper(III)-oxo stretching mode. In addition, I will show effect of temperature on the photodissociation spectra.
