Phase transformations facilitated by stacking faults, Colloquium

May 14, 2014

Talk given by Prof. David Rafaja

The stacking faults facilitate phase transformations in various materials and thus influence often the stability of metastable phases. Two examples of such materials are the metastable oversaturated cubic solid solution of Ti1-xAlxN and metastable highly alloyed austenitic steels.
